The "Smart City KVB" project is in full swing: On the 63,000 m² site in Cologne-Porz, the new building depot east for approx. 50 electric buses is being constructed in the 1st construction phase for the Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG (KVB). On behalf of Schüßler-Plan Ingenieurgesellschaft and Hundhausen Bauunternehmung GmbH, a transfer station and two transformer stations were built to distribute the electricity to the e-buses.
For these three buildings, which were made of on-site concrete, we were commissioned to produce the corresponding standard-compliant technical doors. In total, 17 doors in the KVB corporate design were supplied and professionally installed for the transformer, low-voltage, medium-voltage and electrical operating rooms. The combination of burglary protection in conjunction with adequate ventilation of the transformers was the main focus here.
We are pleased that we were allowed to participate in the "Smart City KVB" project. E-buses and the use of green electricity are an important contribution to climate and environmental protection. Betonbau wishes a successful further course of the project!
